Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl tie the knot

I have returned from Kingston, Jamaica where I spent 17 days on a service trip (something I did last summer as well). I have embarked on a whole new attitude towards life due to this journey. I will end up doing a separate post focusing on my experience in Kingston. Yet, no words can fully express my passion for service work and the beautiful people who roam this underestimated island.

A little over a week ago, the wonderful Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl tied the knot in Bedford, New York. It was a intimate ceremony, hence, the lack of photos from their big day.

By far, Olivia’s street style is #1 in my books. I could attach 100 of her outfits and that would still not satisfy my love and connection to her personal¬†style. I mean come on, did you see what she wore to the¬†Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week shows? ahhh-mazing. At Dior, she brought a dose of cool to couture. ¬†

Some more pictures from Paris Fashion Week below:

She is lucky enough to work with so many amazing designers, especially in the bridal department. She even stunned in Brides magazine a month before her own big day. I couldn’t begin to imagine what her own wedding gown would be like when I heard about the engagement. It was not a surprise the couple would opt for a nontraditional feel. She ended up rocking a three piece Carolina Herrera ensemble with a cashmere sweater, white SHORTS, and a satin skirt with lace embroidery. I also loved the blue Manolo Blahnik heels, lets say she took it from “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”.¬†She pulled it all together like the style pro she is.

 xoxo, Sarah

Amp up that T-shirt and Jeans Look: OOTD

Effortlessly chic. It took me about a minute to put this look together; well, to think of.. because it actually took me 10 minutes to find the pieces I wanted in my crazy closet. I recently got this shirt at Joe Fresh in SoHo, it made an appearance in my last post. It has the basic white T feel to it, yet the opaque white gems make all the difference. I paired it with slimming boyfriend styled jeans from Zara and Bucco Capensis sandals.

I just realized I have lipstick on my teeth! haha

Throw on a floppy hat! because hey, its summer(:

Shirt: Joe Fresh

Jeans: Zara

Shoes: Hautelook (Bucco Capensis)

Hat: J. Crew

Short and Sweet Trip to New York City

I have been begging my mom to take me to the city since I was 7 years old. So happy I waited, I ended up appreciating it so much more. It was perfect weather! what a beautiful city.

Over the years I have realized that one day I will be living there if I was serious about fashion. Hopefully I will go back this summer (:

I fell in love. Most of these pictures are from the same day- but I thought I would share my experience.

P.S. I HIGHLY recommend seeing If/Then with Idina Menzel. It was ahhh-mazing, like all other Broadway shows.

Before- we were pretty excited

And of course, cannot forget about the typical Gossipgirl pictures

“Let’s stop in J. Crew”

The dreaded yet beautiful words. I have a love for J. Crew, but I know its bad for me. After a few shopping trips with my good friend, I realized we are horrible shopping partners. We tell each other to buy everything. We both go a little overboard. Hey! there were some amazing sales. I couldn’t resist. I am visiting New York in 2 weeks- that will be a wild shopping weekend.

I did get a lot for my buck. I listed prices (original&sale) below

first off, jewelry:

($55) $15.29

Of course I have to get the blue as well ($55) $15.29

($58) sadly, I paid full price

(Francesca’s) ($28)

(TJ Maxx) ($28) $14.99

I was in desperate need for shorts. Finally it’s suppose to get warmer! chino shorts on sale(:

($45) $15.29

So happy, It was a extra 40% off sale then I got the extra 15% off for the student discount!

I cannot decide if I want these monogrammed on the front or back pocket.

($98) $35.70

(TJ Maxx) ($24) $16.99

I think TJ Maxx misread the price tag, so I got it on a  super sale

($78) $19.99

($70) $34.99

I bought the flow-y pants and the dress for my Jamaica trip. However, I think these pants can be super chic with a white t-shirt and strapy sandals or heels. Normally, I wouldn’t pick these up, but I’m happy I did.

Yesterday was a successful day. Get ready for some OOTD’s featuring these items.
